Last night Chris Daughtry and his band were back in town (Poughkeepsie, NY) on their "Dearly Beloved Tour". Dearly Beloved is the bands SIXTH album! This album is definitely a more of a "harder rock" sound than their previous albums and is GREAT.
Daughtry gave fans a taste of his newest album "Dearly Beloved." For those who did not hear his latest album they got a taste of what to expect with songs " Desperation", "Changes Are Coming", "World On Fire", "Heavy Is The Crown", "Dearly Beloved", and "Lioness". Many of the lyrics seem to speak about the chaos in the world today and the need to draw on our inner strength to survive. With his iconic voice he sang many of his hit songs over the years! He performed acoustic versions of my favorites "Over You", "Superman", and "Home". Chris introduced the song "Home" with saying that he wanted to clarify the words were "I'm Going Home" not "I'm Coming Home". The crowd went craaazy!
I'll say it again... Every time I have seen Daughtry perform his shows are FLAWLESS and this show was no different! Oh and I can't get over the lighting AGAIN, -- perfect pitch, perfect tone and perfect sound! His voice just came through those speakers so pure, I can't explain it. I don't know who handles his sound and lighting but he's got the best in the biz!
If Chris and his band is coming to your area, make sure to get your tickets before they sell out!
